The John Bonham Story ‘“ BBC 6Music and Radio 2.
This documentary brings together generations of Rock Gods as lifelong Led Zeppelin fan Dave Grohl celebrates his hero, drummer John Henry ‘Bonzo’ Bonham. The story includes interviews from those who knew John the best ‘“ including all three surviving members of Led Zepelin ‘“ over an irresistible soundtrack that tears through the band’s rich back catalogue. The listener is left with an enduring image of a man whose destiny would be forged by his ferocious drumming style and his insatiable appetite for living life to the full.
Chart The Week – BBC Radio 5Live
Until recently, Richard Bacon spent his Sunday mornings chucking cats into wheelie bins, having affairs with high class escorts and making fraudulent claims on his BBC expenses account. That was until he was asked to host Chart the Week, a show that shattered forever the tedious tranquility of Sunday mornings with its entertaining and passionately fought dissection of the week’s news. A revolving team of guests from the worlds of comedy, politics and entertainment scramble to have the final word and the funniest line on the week’s events. Excess All Areas : The Trials of Rock ‘n Roll – Absolute Radio.
A bleary-eyed Iain Lee rocks out with his silks on to put the most legendary wasters in the music world to trial. The charge’ Pure excess. The likes of The Who, Oasis, Rolling Stones and Red Hot Chilli Peppers all find themselves in the dock, while journalists, comedians, contemporary bands and even the odd drug smuggler are called upon to give their damning testimonies. Told with a rich and highly-produced soundtrack, these programmes not only celebrate the lifestyles of those featured but examine how the music business as a whole has changed. The sort of radio series that will ply you with drugs, chuck your TV out of the window and throw-up all over your lap’¦and still have you coming back for more.
Pause for Thought – BBC Radio 2
Broadcast daily at 5.45am, Pause for Thought offers two minutes of reflection at the start of each day. The thoughts come from people of different faiths from diverse walks of life; from comedians and writers to Bishops and Rabbis. Covering a different theme each week, they share their thoughts on issues that anyone can relate to, with or without faith. Since 2011, Mondays and Fridays are live, meaning that our ‘Thinkers’ can engage with topical news stories when the need arises.

Hot Gossip – BBC Radio 2
Claudia Winkleman sharpens her claws to host Hot Gossip, the acclaimed and highly engaging Saturday night panel show. Feeding off the energy of a live audience, Hot Gossip consistently challenges the boundaries of what’s acceptable on mainstream radio as it slices open and discusses the soft underbelly of celebrity news and culture. Celebs beware, Hot Gossip will be returning to the airwaves this summer.
Fun Kids Radio – The A – Z and Architecture Series
TBI produced two bespoke children’s radio series for corporate clients, aimed at 9 and 10 year olds. The series aimed to educate children on a host of relatively complex topics, from Tudor architecture to organic farming. Using sound FX, music and quizzes to make learning fun and accessible, this was an example of children’s programming that did not unduly patronise it’s audience.
Yamaha Download – with Richard Allinson
The Yamaha Download is a celebration of music by genuine music lovers. Targeted at a very specialist but passionate audience of active musicians, the monthly audio magazine has a guest line up and commitment to live music which sets it apart. It also calls on that audience to help steer its direction, representing them directly on air and supporting their new music (see Yamahadownload.com)

The Big Listen ‘“ UK Commercial Radio
TBI was commissioned by ‘The Radio Centre’ (UK Commercial Radio’s trade body) to create over 70 short form features for broadcast across a 100 UK commercial radio stations.
Food Radio ‘“ Online / DAB / Commercial Radio
TBI became the production partner for the launch of a new online and broadcast food portal. We developed and delivered an ambitious broadcast and on-line plan incorporating a weekly, live two hour music and food programme . A monthly high profile interview for DAB radio with Katie Derham. A monthly round table discussion debating key food issues with Allegra McEvedy and a series of daily recipes for pod cast. Over the 6 month project the TBI team made over 50 programmes.
